The movie Fright Night gets a make over from Mad Men guru

Published by cmaher under New Movie Thriller Edit This

Fright Night movie posterDo you remember the movie Fright Night? The movie created in the 80’s about a teenager who finds that his neighbors are vampires.

So when the vampiric neighbors take his girlfriend captive, the teenager seeks the help of a televised monster killer.
You can’t let the walking dead steal your girlfriend and stay next door. They might take over the world with their deadly fangs.

It seems that Man Men wizard Marti Noxon has been hired by Dreamworks Studios to do redo the movie that mixed horror and comedy. I’m excited about Noxon working on the movie because she has a history with comedic horror.

Marti Noxon was one of the writers that worked with the storylines of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel”. Yeah, I know Buffy and Angel really were not scary but they did deal with demons, vampires, and creatures of the night. So I’m sure that Marti Noxon will stick with the comedic aspect of Fright Night and keep fans of the movie happy.

Are you excited about the “Fright Night” redux or are you just tired of Hollywood dishing out remakes?
If you have no idea what I’m talking about then pick up your own copy of the movie “Fright Night” Then you can decide if your excited about the remake or if the movie should have just been left alone.

Chris Pine battles a deadly virus in the movie Carriers

Published by cmaher under New Movie Thriller Edit This

The Movie “Carriers”Chris Pine helped in making the action packed Star Trek a hit as James T. Kirk. Now Chris Pine is on another mission and that’s survival.

On December 8, 2009 Paramount Home Entertainment will stock the rental shelves with a story of thrills and horror in Carriers. Brian (Chris Pine) and his friends are on the run because of a deadly virus.

The group of friends now has to make choices for survival that bend their concept of morality and the norm.

One of my favorite horror authors Stephen King told Entertainment Weekly that the movie “Carriers” was a beautiful thing to look at. When it comes to movies like Carriers, I trust Stephen King’s opinion about the movie.

Along with Chris Pine there are several actors that are going to try to help knock Paranormal Activity off the top ten rentals. That’s when Paranormal Activity gets to the rental shelves.

They are:
Piper Perabo as Bobby in the movie Carriers. Emily VanCamp has taken on the role of Kate and Lou Taylor Pucci plays Brian’s brother Danny.

Will the movie Carriers keep Chris Pine in the minds of movie fans across the world? We’ll just have to see when Carriers shows up on the DVD rental list.

Chris Maloni in the shower for Carriers

Published by cmaher under New Movie Thriller Edit This

Chris Maloni in the showerWhat would you do if you had to run from a deadly viral disease? What would you do to survive? Would you constantly do the moral thing?

Chris Maloni works with Chris Pine (Star Trek) in what is to be the next gripping thriller called “Carriers”. Stephen King called it a “Beautiful thing to look at.” It seems that Chris Maloni will be playing one of the people that Brian (Chris Pine) runs into on their adventure.

Other cast members in “Carriers” are Lou Taylor Pucci, Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), and Emily Vancamp.

Right now “Carriers” can only be rented but you should be able to pick up your copy at Movie Hunger six week from now. Many people believe that “Carriers” is going to take on “Paranormal Activity” in the horror department. So be sure to check back.

Chris Maloni just recently finished a role as The Producer in “Dirty Movie”.
