When you think of Rutger Hauer movies what do you think of? Do you think of action, adventure, and strange characters?
Rutger Hauer has been one of my favorite actors since I saw LadyHawke and I’m glad that I got to watch A Breed Apart for free.
The movie A Breed Apart brings Rutger Hauer, Powers Boothe, Kathleen Turner, and Donald Pleasence together to create this action film.

Rutger Hauer takes on the role of a conservationist who’s life mission is to protect eggs of the local bald eagle. Smooth talking Powers Booth poses as a photographer to obtain the eggs that collector Donald Pleasence character wants.

The only problem that it’s Powers Booth that is converted by Rutger Hauers’s character. Rutger Hauer’s character works together with Booth and Kathleen Turner to outwit Donald Pleasence character of obtaining the Eagle eggs.
Let me start out by saying that the filmogrophy of Geoffrey Stephenson is amazing. It makes me proud to be part of the Stephenson clan. All during the movie A Breed Apart there are breathtaking views of the landscape. The movie really makes you feel as if you are seeing what the cast members are seeing.

What did I think of the movie A Breed Apart? It’s an interesting action film. I wouldn’t nominate it for an award but the cast members make the film fun to watch. I enjoyed the storyline even though it was an adaptation of every other heist film out there.

Rutger Hauer is his usual self with is role in the movie. His character is full of spit and vinegar. Though a person could believe that he is a conservationist, his character just comes off as being a little bit weird. At least that’s my thoughts about him. You could think something completely different when you watch the movie.

Powers Boothe plays the man that is after the endangered eggs. Even though he’s hiding behind the facade of a photographer, the viewer can just tell that he’s up to no good. Powers Boothe plays a bad guy well. The only problem is that he came off as being to smooth and cheesy sounding for the film. It’s almost as if the character was forced.

Kathleen Turner plays the local shop owner and single mom in the movie A Breed Apart. A viewer can definately tell that the actress was squeezed into the role to add romance and comedy break to the movie.

So once again a fun movie to watch but definately not an award winner. Rutger Hauer, Powers Boothe, and Kathleen Turner have done several films in their lifetime. Here are some movie titles that you might enjoy from each actor.
