Dvd release: Ice Age 3 sets a World Record!
What other way to celebrate the dvd release of Ice Age Dawn Of The Dinosaurs than to create a giant figurine of one of the beloved characters?
I wish I could have been in Santa Monica, California on October 27th, 2009 for this great event.
14 sculptors from Ice Bulb LLC chinseled the Ice Age beloved Scrat over a four day period while Guinness World Records™ adjudicator overlooked all the work to make sure the these men and women were not adding extras to ice to make it taller. Ice Bulb LLC is trying to beat the current record held by Michael Amann for his creation at Ski Dubai.
As you can see this creation is huge. The Scrat Ice Age 3 Sculpture stood at 45 feet. It took over 130K lbs of ice from 4 different states to create peice of movie art. Take a look at these time lapse videos of world record building of this Ice Age 3 sculpture.
