Will a Toy story double and part 3 make families flock

Published by cmaher at 4:27 pm under Pixar Animation Edit This

Toy Story 3 PicturesToy Story is at the box office in 3D and Toy Story 3 will be release on June 18, 2010. If you have seen the Tom Hanks hit and part 2 that includes the addition of Jessie the yodeling cowgirl then you know the storyline.

I have to wonder if making the movies 3D and adding to the storyline will attract families to the box office. If you have seen movies in the past, then we all know that not all 3D movies work. Take Jaws and piranha in 3D, the concept did nothing to add to the movies storyline.

Let’s not forget that 3D glasses cost money and many movie theaters have opted to not purchase the 3D versions simply because it will be an extra cost to them.

Though I don’t think that the 3D versions will be a hit. I do think that Toy Story 3 has a fun storyline that families will enjoy. This time Andy is heading off to college. So Andy’s mom decides to donate the toys to a local Day Care center.

It will be interesting to see if Woody and the gang gets a new family or if the adventure will be about returning to the nestle of Andy’s bedroom.

My final vote about 3D movies is that unless the movie is originally made in a 3D version then it needs to be left alone. There is rumored that Titantic will now be made in 3D. Hollywood stop what your doing right now! Your audience doesn’t need more remakes and definitely doesn’t need them in a 3D version.
