Should Summit Entertainment stop with the New Moon Trailers?

Published by cmaher at 5:14 pm under movie news Edit This

latest new moon poster of Bella and EdwardNew Moon hits the box office November 20, 2009 and we have already seen three new movie trailers for the film. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing movie trailers about films that I am really excited to see but is Summit Entertainment doing the right thing?

Steve Callahan over at Examiner.com makes the statement “Jaws proved less is more. So did Alien. Twilight should abide.” Basically Summit Entertainment should edit their new movie trailers to not give away all the great scenes in New Moon.

Is Summit Entertainment doing this because they are afraid that Twilight fans will loose interest in the film? Many of the people excited about the movie have come from reading the books. They know what is going to happen in the film.

I personally have to agree with Steve Callahan on his views on the New Moon movie trailers. Less is definitely more when it comes to movie trailers especially comedies. I absolutely hate when most of the most funniest moments are wrapped up in a 2 minute package.

Fellow Twilight fans, what do you think of the new movie trailers of New Moon. Is Summit Entertainment offering the fan to much media or are they getting the right kind of mixture of new movie advertisement.
