Frank Darabont The Mist starring Thomas Jane
On their way to the market, they see the army, the firefighters, and the police, heading toward the mist. When he sees this Brent mentions something about “Project Arrowhead”, a secret military plan that no one knows about. As they are shopping, they see three army men walk in, just to pick up a few things then head toward the mist. What seemed like a harmless dark Seattle mist turns into a veil of horror for a group of grocery store shoppers. The horrors of unknown creatures and human psychology during two full days.
Thomas Jane takes on the role of David Drayton and the hero of the movie. If there could be a hero to this thriller movie. The one character that really stood out in the movie was Marcia Gay Harden. Marcia took on the role of the hysterical religious woman known as Mrs. Carmody.
If Director Frank Darabont wanted a woman that would create a character that would drive the crowd insane then Marcia Gay Harden was the woman.
For me though this was definitely a creature feature. The imagination that created those bloodthirsty creatures from another world should be rewarded.
The ultimate fear is not seeing what is front of you. Director Frank Darabont had me screaming “No..No…It can’t end like that” at the top of my lungs. The movie tagline “Fear Changes Everything” definitely holds true for The Mist.
If your looking for a thriller/horror movie with a messed up ending that will surprise you, definitely check out Frank Darabont The Mist starring Thomas Jane
