Happy Birthday Celebrity Gene Autry

Published by cmaher under movie news Edit This

Gene AutryThough Gene Autry is no longer with us, he did make a major mark in the world of television and the movie industry. He’s a legend that brought smiles to peoples faces from 1934 to 1955.

Gene Autry would seem more like a songbird with over 600 songs made but the legend was also part of nearly 100 different movies. Gene Autry’s first film was in 1934. He was part of a singing quartet in a movie called In Old Santa Fe.

After retiring from acting, Gene Autry was the Executive Producer for nearly ten television programs and worked with hundreds of actors during his lifetime.

If you’re ever in Los Angeles, California, be sure to check out the Gene Autry Museum in Glendale, California. The Museum is easy to get to and is located inside of Griffith Park. I’ve been there a couple of times and they have some great events.

One thing for sure I have a lot of Gene Autry movies to catch up on.

Top Horror Movies with Chupacabras

Published by cmaher under Top Picks Edit This

El Chupacabra picturesIs the legend of the Chupacabra a story that parents just told their kids to keep them in bed at night? Or is there actually a Chupacabra or breed of Chupacabra’s running around in the shadows at night? One thing for sure is that there are many movies out there about the legendary goat chasing blood sucking moster.

The horror movie at the top of the list is no surprise. It’s El Chupacabra starring Elina Madison. A very strange horror movie where only each viewer can decide what El Chupacabra is really about.

The next top horror movie with this goat sucking legend is El Matadero. The urban legend is that in the 1950’s, the U.S. Department of Defense used tunnels to transport weapons into the hills of Pasadena. The body of Lucy Hernandez is found dumped in one of these abandoned tunnels and then suddenly disappears.

A journalist by the name of Oscar Orlando and a cameraman document their search for the killer but find something else deep in the tunnels of Los Angeles.

Finishing up our top horror movies involving the Urban Legend is GoatSucker. A group of people get a chance sighting of the monstrous creature and decide to cash in on their luck. They create a hiking group that promises a view of the Chupacabra. The hike turns into horror when hikers begin to disappear.

Did your favorite Chupacabra horror movie make the list? Is there one that I may have missed? Let me know and I’ll be sure to do a movie review.

Cloudy with chance of Meatballs inspired Halloween costumes

Published by cmaher under Columbia Edit This

Last year many Movie Hunger readers liked the celebrity Halloween costumes and the movie inspired Halloween costumes. So I thought that I would continue with that this Halloween this season.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a major hit in the movie theaters for the second week. So I thought that a group costume would be a fun idea especially if the costumes were taken from the foods falling from the sky.

I couldn’t find a Halloween costume that was in the shape of a huge Jello mold but there are some fun costumes to party the nights away in. You and your friends can be a giant Hot Dog.

Anytime Costumes has a full hot dog costume that you can buy and just wear on Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday next to Easter, so when wearing a costume, I like to go all out. So be sure to pick up some red face makeup to match the red hot dog Halloween costume piece that is around your face.

Along with Hot Dogs, you have to have toppings for the movie inspired Halloween costume. How about some Ketchup and Mustard to go along with that hot dog contraption.

Have a great and safe Halloween season and I hope that your night is not cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Be sure to check back with Movie Hunger daily.

I’ll have more movie inspired Halloween costumes and I’ll be posting what your favorite celebrities will be wearing this Halloween.
