Johnny Depp in ‘Benny and Joon’

Published by cmaher at 3:25 pm under movie news Edit This

Johnny Depp in Benny and JoonMovie Director: Jeremiah Chechik
Writers: Barry Berman and Lesley McNeil
Starring Johnny Depp, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Aidan Quinn

Benny and Joon is ultimately about an over protective brother named Benny (Actor Aidan Quinn) and his mentally challenged sister Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson. Sam (Johnny Depp) and Joon fall in love and the older brother wants nothing to do with it.

Benny and Joon is more than just a romantic comedy though. It’s about letting people be who they are and letting people go.

I’m really glad that I watched this movie because it has three actors that I really like.
When I first saw Aidan Quinn in Desperately Speaking Susan with Madonna and I’ve loved his acting since. This was also the first time that I was introduced to the acting talent of Johnny Depp.

Johhny Depp and Aidan Quinn both have great use of thier facial features. What I mean by my statement is the fact that some actors use thier voice to play a role. Johnny Depp is just the opposite, not only is the voice used be exageration of the face and body movements.

For Johnny Depp it works well in his role.

I know that Benny and Joon is an older movie from Johnny Depp but
I encourage you to check it out. Take a chance and find the great roles that Johnny Depp had before Pirates of the Caribbean!
