And the comic book battle continues

Published by cmaher at 12:04 pm under movie news Edit This

DC Comics or Marvel Comics? I have to be honest and call myself a comic book outcast. I will not stand there and choose one over the other because each has something special to offer.

While DC Comics and Marvel Comics debate on who has the bigger guns when it comes to Superhero’s, let’s look at what DC Comics might be bringing to the movie screen. A couple of weeks ago both studios were shuffling ideas around. You just can’t do that to a Superhero fan.

To announce that a studio is making a movie out of your favorite DC Comic superhero and then pull it is like getting twenty lashes from Cat Woman’s whip. Meow indeed!!!

Please oh please we need to look to the skies before my husband ruins his copy of Superman Returns! It looks like Superman fans are going to have to watch the skies just a little bit longer. The whole Superman series is still in Limbo. The only answer that DC comic fans seem to be getting is “We’re working on it.”

There was a rumor going around that a few sexy movie stars were going to take on the role of DC Comics Amazonian Wonder Woman. Sadly those rumors are still rumors. Clive Barker was caught off guard at the Los Angeles Meltdown Comics that he really didn’t have a handle on Wonder Woman’s character.

I have to agree where would you actually start that character in DC Comic Superhero movie? There was a movie-featuring actress Cathy Lee Crosby as Wonder Woman but could they continue the storyline from there? Or will Wonder Woman be once again coming to the world of man?

The one that I’m excited about is Aquaman! I don’t know how Leonardo DiCaprio and Appian Way will pull this character out of the ocean but I hope they can make the best of it.
