New Moon not the only one fighting plagiarism accusations!
Movie Hunger found out that someone is trying to sue Harry Potter Author J.K. Rowling for plagiarism. My these reports are starting to sound a lot like the fiasco with Twilight Saga Author Stephanie Meyer.
Apparently the accusation is that Harry Potter is really a story called The Adventures of Willy the Wizard No. 1 Livid Land by fantasy writer Adrian Jacobs. Adrian Jacobs book was written in 1987 and actually is an import to the United States.
Of course the publishing company that represents J.K. Rowlings and the Harry Potter saga will be fighting these plagiarism with more witchcraft than the Hogwarts Alumni combined.
“Bloomsbury would like to state that this claim is without merit and will be defended vigorously. The allegations of plagiarism made by the estate of Adrian Jacobs are unfounded, unsubstantiated and untrue,” the company said in a statement.
Once again this sounds like someone chasing after a successful author for money once again. If Willy the Wizard was truly anything like the Harry Potter series, something should have been done about it the minute that the book was released and Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire was scene as a preview.
