Xmen Origins who’s next?

Published by cmaher at 7:10 am under movie news Edit This

xmen origins wolverine claw pictureNow that Xmen Origins Wolverine is coming to theaters around the world and there is a rumor that Magneto will be next on the list of the X-Men Origins saga, who do you think will be next on the list of mutants?

My husband and I were talking about how excited we are to see X-Men Origins Wolverine because the movie trailers just seem to be getting better and better. Then we started to try to figure out who the next mutant would be. Isn’t it that way with all movies based off of comic books? Fans are always asking who is the next hero in the movie or who is the next villian.

My husband thinks that it will be Magneto and then the weather controlling Storm. That’s if Halle Berry will reprise her role of course. I’m kinda leaning toward Dr. X and Cyclops. I personally think that if they plan to carry the storyline over to Magneto then the obvious choice would be his oldest friend Dr. X.

I confess, I hope to see a major X-Men saga featuring as many mutants as there possibly can be. When it comes to the characters in a movie based off of a comic book, the history of the character is just as important as what they are doing here and now. I know, I know movie fans, I’m stating the obvious but it just had to be said about these types of movies.

So now that X-Men fans will know the history of Wolverine scene on the silver screen and Magneto may be the next in line. What mutant do you think should be next in line for the box office?

A Magneto movie detailing his life and previous work with Professor X could be really good, but the movie that must be made is Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds. Best casting ever.

I was hoping that someone would bring Deadpool up. I actually think I’d like to see the story behind Jaggernaut too.

the next Xmen Movie should be Phoenix/Jean Grey. U can’t beat it, good girl is possessed turns into a demon that is the most powerful mutant on earth. I felt like Wolverine was totally a punk. Wolverine did not have the ANGER or Animalist Behavior that he had in the comic book and cartoon. The Wolverine Movie Character was kind of a PUNK, all soft and nice. NOT COOL. I think the JEAN GREY movie will get comic book heads and SciFi heads to the movies.

The good girl turns into a monster is a CLASSIC. (please don’t do a Magneto movie–we all know his story). Bad enough we have to settle for a corny Captain America movie about a punk in spandex. Thor Movie might be interesting.

The next Xmen Origins Movie should be Jean Grey. Jean Grey and Wolverine are the charachters that most diehard fans are in love with. Wolverine’s movie was so-so, they have Hugh Jackman acting all soft and with “NO” attitude and we all know Wolverine is a pure bastard. These movie heads NEVER get it right.

the Xmen 3 Jean grey was HORRIBLE they protrayed her as a crackhead walking around spaced out, when she was actually out destroying planets. Brett Ratner

NIGHTCRAWLER!!!! …the origin of nightcrawler would be a great movie
…plus you dont see enough of him .. u only see him a few times in xmen 2

Tommy Boi, Don’t you mean Apocalypse? I could see that meshing with a X-Men Origins Cable storyline.

They did hint about Nightcrawler in a previous X-Men movie. I think a story about his past would be great too. I hope that if they do a Nightcrawler spin off that they would get the same guy again.

Gambit would definately be a major money maker for the studio heads. Especially if they keep Taylor Kitsch. What did everyone think of the role of Gambit? How do you feel about X-Men Origins Wolverine 2 possibly coming out?

I don’t know about Pyro Jeremy. I mean they brought him in as a teenager. I don’t think they could go back in time but I’d like to see him, Rogue, and ice grow up some more.

I’m sorry I don’t remember Rogue being this whiny emo teenager.

If they are going to do any more X-Men Origins then they need to start with the ORIGINals which would be Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Marvel Girl, and others

the next film in the xmen origins series will feature a young magneto and professor x as they learn to deal with there powers. the film will pretty much pick up where the first one started if you remember there were some scenes with a young magneto in a concentration camp. the film will pick up there from what i have been told it will also feature lesser known mutants whose names have not been released

A nightcrawler origins would be so cool! we might find out what happened to him after the X2, he was never in X3

I honestly feel the Magneto X story is needed to really continue the origins series. And though many ( like myself ) didn’t really like how they portrayed Jean Grey they cant exactly go backwards on the lines of the Xmen movies. I would have to say the next in line would have to be Storm.. for one they messed up stating she was a mutant in the first place in the original movie. And with her heading up the school since the “death” of Xavier its a needed addition to the storyline. I am hoping this all leads to the Battle vs. Apocalypse as the finale.

I’m disappointed to hear Magneto being portrayed next. He is tired and worn out. He was tired in the comic book. He’s been way over used. There are so many more good villians to use, for exp Proteus, Fitzroy, Apocalypse, Post, Wraiths, Brood etc. As far as the next Xorigins, I think that Storm has a very interesting background being an orphaned pick pocket on the streets of Cairo and the claustrophobia. Also her diversity in using her powers for example, watering her plants with mini rainstorms, would be great if done right. Nightcrawler would be good too. Whatever happens I hope they don’t let Brett Ratner get anywhere near another X film!

I agree with a lot of people in either a Magneto and the Professor would be awesome and very cool and also (really what I want) Jean Grey and her transformation into the Phoenix… maybe even bring in Emma Frost too. Jean is my favorite and she is a class 5 mutant so it would be interesting. Her on the Island and her life throughout the comic books. But then again, Storm might be cool. But not another Wolverine… also they need to stick to the Comics and I agree that the depiction of Jean Grey in the Last Stand was horrible, Rogue was horrible, and well… lets just say that someone was not doing a good job in making the movie.

the best idea to me would be the origin of how the professor found Ororo Munroe & explain why the fxck he was in africa.

  24. jameson 07 Oct 2009 at 3:12 pm edit this

ummm… i think beast would be best! Either that or Prof. X, Magneto, colossus, gambit, or storm.
I wonder if their only going to make origins for the mutants in the x-men team??

  25. adam deluceon 10 Oct 2009 at 2:37 pm edit this

I hope they make a magneto one and do it as accurate as possible. Hes like one of the greatest comic book villains of all time and his back round is much more interesting than gambit or gayass jean grey.

OK, so it has been said that magneto is the next in the X Men Origins Saga. Professor X is probably not going to have his own movie because he is being featured as a secondary character in the Magneto film, which will more than likely reveal both Magnetos story as well as Xavier’s. Jean Grey is probably not going to get a movie. Her background is not really all that great its just her having like, inner conflict and being an angsty child trying to deal with her powers. Night Crawler is probably not going to get a movie, because his back ground is not really movie worthy. There’s only really one thing in his history really worth noting and that’s him being Mystique’s son. (sorry to spoil any surprise someone may be wanting.) Cyclopes would be an interesting tale to hear because no one really knows that much about him. I’m not sure why they incorporated him in the Wolverine movie, but because of that he may not get his own film. Storm, is a very good idea. She has a lot of history that no one is really familiar with except for the die hard comic fans. But i really would enjoy seeing a movie for Mystique. :)
