Movie Review: The Love Guru
What happens when a Hockey superstar loses his game mojo and his team might not win the Stanley Cup? The team owner calls the love Guru. My husband and I rented this DVD release simply because we wanted to see how goofy Justin Timberlake could get.
The DVD release is about Pitka, an American raise by gurus, takes what he has learned in life to help a star hockey player, be on Oprah, and break into the self-help business in the States. What Pitka finds is that the student has actually become the teacher and he the student.
The Motion Picture The Love Guru stars Mike Myers, Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Romany Malco. You would think that Mike Myers would be the center of the comedy but I have to say that the funniest parts actually did not go the leading Actors.
It was Justin Timberlake and Verne Troyer that actually stole the show during this DVD rental. Mike Myers jokes just seemed force while the comedy from Justin Timberlake was fluid. Verne Troyer was there to be a supporting actor but he knocked his comedy close ups out of the park.
As a whole the DVD release of The Love Guru was a good choice. Even with some of the forced comedy there was enough there to catch the viewer of guard and keep the movie interesting.
