Music Review: David Cook by David Cook

David Cook

American Idol champ premiered his new music album at the Hard Rock Café in New York City this week. After months of auditions, American Idol, and recording studios, I wonder what kind of music would come out of David Cook.

A music complication offers thirty music tracks of David Cooks thoughts and feelings. Fans are raving over Permanent, which holds a place in number eleven on his CD.

David Cook was unable to even reach the Top 50 on Billboards Top 100 this week. Oh well there is always next week.

So what do you think of David Cook by David Cook? As a whole his music is hard to remember. When I check out a new CD from a music artist I’ll have it playing in the background. If a song stands out then the music really will stand out.

Other than music track number Permanent, his music seems to flow into one long song that just has a few twenty-second spaces between each music track. David Cook had a chance to stand out but his music just wasn’t able to catch my ear.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not throwing the whole CD in the trash. I would buy a few music mp3 files. Heroes, Permanent, Light On and Lie are tracks that I wouldn’t mind owning.

Also check out the music collection 100 Classical Favorites. American Idol contestants Cook and Archuletta performed songs on the CD. Though I don’t favor David Cooks singing, he is great on the ivories.

Would you buy David Cook by David Cook? I’d like to know what you think of his new album.
