Edward and Norah spend a romantic time getting ready for the day ahead at his apartment. Does his apartment scream minimalist or a man that always has to be in control?

Heading out for the day, When Henry calls his wife, she lies and says that she is at the dentist.

After picking up Ruthy from practice, he finds her looking out photographs from his college days. Ruthy finds a photograph of Sarah and questions mom and dad about her. She was Angie’s roommate in college and Henry’s girlfriend who died in a car accident.

What’s this? One of the photographs of Sarah has a crypto code on it. Now Henry is really questioning where loyalties lie in his family and in his relationship with Angie. Is she a watcher to keep him out of trouble?

Henry of course heads to Norah’s office to figure out the answer yet he gets sent on yet another mission. Interestingly, Edward gets sent into a mission that is much like his own life.

He must protect a presidential candidate but finds out that the wife is not exactly who she seems. She is a sleeper agent that was placed with this candidate twenty years ago. Yet she fell in love with him.

This can’t be true; Angie can’t be cheating on the man that truly loves her. With the night hours and the away meetings, I could see how it would happen. Henry spies Angie meeting with a strange man and accepting gifts.

Edward wakes up and returns to the organization to get information out of Marian. Marian tells Edward that if she promises to help she will be able to tell him who killed his parents. The plot thickens.

Henry wakes up in the middle of the train ride and gun fight. Thankfully, Raymond is there to help Henry out. Angie call between the whole mess upset about the situation with Michael and decides to tell the truth about accepting a gift.

The show unfurls with Edward, Marian, and Raymond rescuing the presidential candidate. Marian sacrifices her life not only for her mission but for the love of her life.

When Henry returns home, Angie comes clean on why she was seeking an outside relationship with another man. Henry learns that in essence Edward is saving the one thing that Henry cares about and that’s his relationship with Angie.

I enjoyed the interesting twist of Edward/Henry finding out about his past. I’m really glad that his wife is not an operative or watcher. That would have just put tarnish on the show. Yet, the writers could put another spin on it. Angie and Sarah could have both been agents and the organization didn’t know who Edward would fall for.

With My Own Worst Enemy obtaining a nomination for Favorite New TV Drama, I still can’t believe that NBC is talking about pulling it off the air.
