Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez joins Walk Of Fame stars
It was a bright day yesterday for Grandson Clifton Collins Jr. as his Grandfather Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez was in many John Wayne movies and inspired many future stars.
Clifton Collins Jr. was so overjoyed that he knelt down and kissed the star.
Other celebrities joining in the celebration were Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Stathum, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Efron Ramirez. I wonder how Pedro influenced each of these movie stars?
I’m sure the added bonus of his star being next to John Wayne is an added bonus since Pedro G. Gonzalez did several roles in John Wayne movies.
“If we got together as an act, what would be it called?” After he replied “Gonzalez-Gonzalez and Marx,” Groucho Marx made an aside: “Do you believe that? Two men in the act, and I get third billing!.”
Pedro G. Gonzalez got his start in 1953 on the Groucho Marx show. Then went on to do roles in John Wayne films Rio Bravo, The High and the Mighty, Hellfighters. He did Gunsmoke with James Arness. Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen. Pedro G. Gonzalez was in a Jerry Lewis film called Hook, Line and Sinker.
Pedro regarded the Duke as his Padron. John Wayne helped him get into Hollywood and, of course, put him into good roles in his movies.
It’s awesome that two actors become best friends. We always hear about what movie stars are doing but rarely hear about the great relationships that develop between them.
